Everything the box can do

The features that existed in the original app, rebuilt on a current Android stack.

01

Programme guide

Now and next per bouquet, the full EPG of a single channel, and a text search across all of it.

02

Timers

List, create, edit and delete. Repeat rules cover once, daily, weekly, weekdays and individual days.

03

Recordings

Browse the receiver's movie directories, start a recording, and delete what you no longer want.

04

Virtual remote

Every key of the original remote, plus power and volume, sent straight to the box.

05

Satfinder

Live signal strength, quality and BER readout — for aiming the dish without guessing.

06

LCD mode

A dimmed screen for leaving the receiver on display overnight instead of waking it.

Three receiver families

All three are implemented, and profiles may mix them freely.

Titan

The original HTTP/SSI interface, no XML.

Dreambox-styleolder firmware

Enigma2

OpenWebif — the web interface of virtually every current Enigma2 image.

DreamboxVu+AXASopenatv

Neutrino

The Neutrino HD web interface, JSON and XML.

First run Add your receiver under Settings → Profiles with its IP or hostname and port (80, or 443 with SSL). If the box asks for a login, the credentials go in the same dialog. They are stored on the device only and are sent nowhere except to the receiver itself.

Download links are still to be recovered from the archived site. Until then there is nothing here to point at — this is a rebuild, not a re-release of the 2016 build. No link is published until it has been checked.

Reporting a problem

No account, and nothing to file by hand.

The app sends it

tiMote can report on its own. It tells you when it does, and only if you turned it on in the settings — the choice is yours, not ours.

What a report contains

App version, Android version, which receiver family you are on, the error text and the app's own log. Anything shaped like a password is stripped before the report is sent.

Status

This is a rebuild of an app that ran from 2012 to 2016. The original source was lost with the SVN server it lived on; what exists today was reconstructed from the last surviving working copies and has since been modernised — Java to Kotlin, and the whole Android toolchain brought up to current versions.
